A leading global manufacturer and supplier of medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle suspensions and components to the global commercial transportation industry wanted to develop a portal to allow suppliers to login and submit cost reduction proposals and view the status of their submitted proposals.
Azure web apps was used to develop and deploy enterprise-ready web applications. Azure SQL was used for relational database managed service and for dynamically scalable performance. Azure AD was used for single identity access for each user across the entire enterprise, keeping users, groups and devices in sync with Azure AD connect.
Migrating the application, database and AD to the cloud minimized infrastructure dependencies and provided a scalable environment for high demands at critical times. Integrating Azure AD authentication with an existing Windows Server Active Directory allowed the organization to use existing on-premises identity to manage cloud-based application access.
