OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) standard requires companies to perform MOC’s (Management of Change) when changes are made that could affect how safely a process runs. Unless the equipment or chemical is being replaced by the same equipment or chemical, an MOC must be performed.

Y&L worked with one of the largest independent liquids terminal and pipeline operators in the nation to automate their MOC processes. Their MOC processes are used to track all “not in-kind” changes that occur, this includes changes to physical assets, policies, procedures, etc. The new MOC application enabled a single, standardized platform by which all changes are captured and documented across the organization. Y&L developed a web application that was used across the client’s organization including international locations.
Benefits to the client included; standardizing their change process across the entire organization, ensured compliance to established procedures and increased visibility across the organization.
